Amber Houston Licensed Cosmetologist & Small Business Owner “ For me, hair isn’t just about the look—it’s about the person in the chair and the journey we take together. “ My path started back in high school at Gloucester High where after class I’d spend my spare time shadowing and working for master colorist, Larry D. Webb at Salon VIVACE. Graduating in 2004 with my cosmetology license, I remember those 7 years vividly. An experience that turned into a whirlwind of Wella International classes and hair shows that took me around the world, teaching me that beauty truly has no borders. I then spent ten wonderful years at Style By Design, that decade shaped me into the independent stylist I am today, including taking a leap of faith to become a small business owner. It has been the most rewarding and freeing adventure where everyday is different! I want you to leave my chair not just looking your best, but feeling truly seen. When the shears are tucked away, I’m usually outdoors! You can catch me stand-up paddle boarding, practicing yoga, playing piano or getting lost in a piece of shell art listening to music of every genre. My peace is my family/my world; My husband of 20 years, Casey, our two amazing children, Ella and Keiren, and our Golden Retriever, Marley. ❤️ Whether I’m at the beach finding inspiration in the sand or behind the chair with a brush in my hand, I am constantly inspired by beauty in its most natural form.
