Amber Houston - Licensed Cosmetologist/Small Business Owner Amber Houston began her cosmetology journey during her junior and senior years at Gloucester High School. While still in school, she spent her after-school hours assisting and shadowing the renowned master colorist Larry D. Webb at Salon VIVACE. During her time there, Amber was immersed in Wella International's programs, gaining experience through international travel, classes, and hair shows through 2012. After earning her cosmetology license in June 2004, Amber launched her career as a licensed cosmetologist and then decided to spend the next ten years at Style by Design, where she began her path as an independent stylist. Reflecting on these formative years, Amber fondly describes the people and experiences as "forever friends:forever family." In 2012, Amber proudly became a self-employed small business owner. Although ONLY accepting existing client referrals, she continues to bring passion, creativity, and expertise to every client. When she isn't styling hair, Amber enjoys stand-up paddleboarding at the beach, playing piano, creating art out of shells and practicing yoga. She treasures quality time with her husband of 19 years, Casey, their golden retriever Marley, and their two beautiful children Ella and Keiren.
